Conversation Heart

This was my 3rd and final entry. It was obviously inspired by the upcoming holiday... I have all the stuff ready to make a second one that says QT Pie... But I am just making that so I have a set. This one was kind of tricky, especially because I made my binding by hand and I have never done that before, but I think it turned out pretty good. I love it though. The quilting on top was done mostly just freehand. I had drawn some lines with pencil, but they were hard to see and the foot got in the way so I just guessed most of the time. I think it turned out really good for a straight stitch.

Cupcake Pot Holder

This was the second pot holder I made for the contest. I didn't have matching binding so I decided to do a satin stitch. Over and over and over again. :) I think it made it a little wonky, but I still love it. Cupcakes are my favorite things to bake. <3 Oh, and the sprinkles went on after it was put together so there are a million criss crossing threads in there... But that can be our little secret. :)

Country Sliced Apple Pot Holder

One of my favorite craft blogs is hosting a contest to win one of 2 Brother sewing machines!! In order to enter, all you had to do was make a pot holder and then send in a picture. I thought about it for about 2 weeks before I got to this version of this idea. I was a little put off by the binding and then later realized that I should have basted the top to the bottom and then tried to attach the binding. That's what I get for not double checking the tutorial or using my brain. Anyway, in the end I think it turned out pretty good, and I think it will look awesome in my best friend Nikki's apple themed kitchen. I will post the amazing pictures Molly took to send in the next time I'm at her house... Or maybe sooner if I can figure it out on my phone. :)

Nursing cover and burp cloths

Though this is not my first attempt at burp cloths, it's definitely my favorite! I will add pictures of some of the other stuff I have been making sometime when I have internet on my computer. Anyway, this set I made for a lady that Mom knows in TX. She sent me the fabric and I made these and then sent them back. She sent a few other fabrics too, so I'll add photos as things are completed. I hope that the lady is as excited about the zebra as I am! ... If only Lucy where still a baby. ;)
